Fabricio - Coro: 4 - 2

It has been my first Nations Cup, and althought I'm disappointed with my results, I'm happy with the experience. I hope to try again next year.

See you at Lure ;)

And that result came after horrible snakes at the council, otherwise it would've been 6-0. More reason to join "i hate wigydices"- Facebook group.

Does this mean that the ongoing is the last round of the swiss system?

Shouldn't 4 rounds be played as far as the number of players (teams in this case) is between 9 and 16, according with the rules of the swiss round format?

The games are 2-deck general opponent, standard rules in use. The tournament will be played in two parts. First there will be three rounds of Swiss System. After this, the top four teams will continue to play in semi-finals and finals. You are not allowed to change your decks at any point during the tournament. In more detail:

I see this and Martin confirms :?

The swiss round format requests for 4 rounds to be played among anything larger than 8 players, yes, but there are two big differences that make NC different:

1 - The variety of possible results in NC is widely larger than the variety in a swiss standard tournament.

2 - The swiss system needs to declare a winner after the number of rounds stablished, because having a tie in the top position really sucks. NC doesn't declare a winner yet, so that much "precission" is required.

Just my 2 cents =)

Oh shit.... another time it is shown that I am an unexperienced and that for a bad tournament master.....

I admit, if I would have checked that before we probably would have played 4 rounds. This tournament should comply with the rules of the CoE and the tournament policy of the CoL. The rules post beornd quotes is mistaken because I copy & pasted it from 2008, where we had 8 participants.

But that doesnt mean its false. We stick to the rules arranged at the beginning of the tournament, but will I will define the general rules more precise after the tournament.

I am sorry for that and apologize! :?

As Manuel pointed out, you just need to get top 4, not the winner. Extra rounds would prolong the cup, which is why I'd recommend using only 3 rounds unless there are a lot more teams.
