If there are some disagreements, then something is not simple and is not obvious for everyone - universally.
Something may appear as simple and obvious only for me.
With all respect to others, who disagree with me: I can express may view and hear what others says.
Not speaking them, that something is wrong in them.

There are situations that happen at the same time but happen from different reasons. Voluntary actions may interleave with actions caused by trigger (the trigger may be a passive condition or something else). There are different reasons for which some actions will resolve, or fizzle.
Some other actions/effects may happen in nearly, but not exactly at the same time.
You, someone else, may deny the distinction.
