What if teams end up in equal TP. What is the tiebreaker? result among themselves, strength of schedule, coinflip, judge deciding (;))?

i'm not insulting your team, but i prefer to play vs argentina or austria than any of the above, or team germany's captain who is the actual world champion ;)

1st: TP
2nd: direct comparison
3rd: wins
4th: strength of opponents
5th: dice roll
6th: Germany qualifies ;)

edit:

Swiss system as described by the Council of Lorien.

edit2:
Strength of opponent wont work in this tournament as in each round technically 18 TP are given. So tie in TP would mean tie in opponents TP as well. Only exception: dunking decks. But it wouldnt make much sense to determine a dunker as a stronger opponent as one who beat you 0:6. So skip point # 4.

In future we should compare captains in step # 4. Compare them from # 1 - # 3. And then roll the dice! :(

edit3:
Maybe strength of opponents could be defined as TP all opponent scored in summary after 3 rounds... We will have to discuss and define that at some time.

So this means: If we (Germany) tie with anybody, we would be qualified due to the number of wins. We have 6, the others would have 5 then.

That is correct. I already dispossessed that.

My proposal for future tournaments:

1st: TP
2nd: direct comparison
3rd: wins
4th: strength of opponents (summary of total TP of all opponent teams)
5th: Captains (go back to # 1)
6th: dice roll

hmmmm...

When you talk about wins are you referring to team wins or players wins?

I mean, it seems strange to me using direct confrontation as a team and in the other hand individual wins...

You mean there should be another tie breaker Team-Wins before individual wins? But no win is indiviudal. All for the nation!! (and a nation for all!? )

edit: good idea, btw

I don't see how that would be. At the end of the Swiss system phase this tie-breaker will have an effect most of the time (you don't count how many TPs each team got facing your team, but the total TPs of each team your team has faced).

FWIW I don't think you need to go tweaking the tie-breakers, they should work fine.

Flaneltina reigns again. The cheeze of me scored 4-2 vs Agustin in a nice game.
