There was a book written back in the eighties i think- called Bored of The Rings. It was done by National Lampoon i believe. If you come across a cheap used copy, it is worth the read.

It sure is. At any rate the Russian translation. Still want to buy the original.
By the way, there was a separate book on Tolkien parodies published in Russia and written by various authors. Sometimes it was equally hilarious as Bored of the Rings.
