Council of Elrond

Dear MECCG commnunity, it is my absolute pleasure to announce that we have an organizar for MECCG Worlds 2026. Once again, Marc Roca and his Mathom team will host the Tournament.

WHAT: MECCG Worlds 2026
WHERE: Barcelona, Spain (watch out, not Llinars del Valles, as in previous events, this time is in the city!)
WHEN: October 16 to 18, 2026.
WHO: Everyone is invited to compete. 18 euros fee will give you access to the event and provide a starter deck and five boosters for a sealed event. Food and lodging are not included there, details to be provided by the organizar.
WHY: Seriously?

So strap in your best scabbard, build your decks and start scanning for the best flights, car pooling, train lines or whatever mean of transport is best for you. I hope to see you all there!!

Hi, I am in and ready to defend my title .

Cheers

Heiner

What will be the location for the event? I would preferably look for lodging close by.

Worlds 2026 ended somehow last Sunday, but due to flight schedule constraints, one of the games of the final four is still pending to be played. It will be done using https://play.meccg.com/ as soon as possible, and that will declare World Champion this year!

As it will be the last game of the tournament and there is no scouting problems anymore, the game will be open to anyone interested, register on the webpage (if not already) to be able to watch it, and stay tuned for the usual communication channels (Discord / Whatsapp) to know exactly when it will take place.

Last game of the finals will be played next Thursday 22nd Oct. at 14:30 CET, Kodi vs Mordakai.
It will be accessible to anyone logged into the platform play.meccg.es, get a free account there if you don´t have it already!
Voice channel for spectators can be arranged by watchers.
Players will use a private channel that will not be accesible to spectators.
Streaming and recording options are being pondered.

Cheers!

The game will also be streamed using Discord usual server, and it will be later uploaded to Youtube
