Hallo community,

we are proud to announce the World championship location as Hamburg Germany. We are returning to known venue where we held German Nats in 2015.
The date is the 19th-20th of October (arrivals on Friday possible, even earlier if you plan ahead with us)

The location is a Hostel Jugendherberge Horner Rennbahn ( https://www.jugendherberge.de/jugendher ... -rennbahn/ )

Heiko/grishnakh & Nicolai/Vastor_Peredhil are the organisors

We already booked for 30 participants, so do no booked yourself - contact us before hand (Heiko is taking care of that)
All rooms include showers/WC, bed sheets and are full board residential (3 meals a day)

For Sat & Sund we a meeting room over 2 stories (85m²), a Galerie with Lounge (65m²) and a roof deck (70m²) with a scenic view on a harness racing track (park like)

WCs, W-Lan, & A Bar are on site

Besides the main event (standard GO), we will have Challenge decks, CDDC (DC-light), DCCD (DC medium), DC ARDA boxes and just introduction decks for new & old (returning) player alike.

Also be sure to bring your spouse as Hamburg is always worth a trip.

From 18 - 20 October 2024 our MECCG World Championship 2024 will take
place in the youth hostel Horn in Hamburg
(www.jugendherberge.de/jugendherbergen/h ... r-rennbahn).

This means not only playing the Worlds GO, but also meeting other MECCG
formats and players (again), swapping, travelling through Middle-earth
for 2 days and much more.

Here are the latest details:

The registration with accommodation in the youth hostel runs until
13.09.2024.
Just send an email to (heiko-sb@web.de), there are still a few places
available.
Arrival is on Fr. 18.10.2024. Check in is possible from 2 pm.
Parkingplaces are available to the left from the entrance.

On 19 + 20 October 2024 we will play a great room for our MECCG World
Championship.

Worlds GO regulations:
-German Promos are not legal.
-We are playing the Balrog-3-Mind Rule (original BA rule).
-No Deck Changes fort he Final 4.
-Proxies are allowed, if they looks good

13:30 - 18:00 / h Worlds GO (2-4 round), beginner games

- Dinner 17:45 - 19:30

19:30 - Open End / Challenge Decks, CH-Deck (DC Vers.),
Multiplayer-Ringwaith-Challenge (up to 9 players), DC Arda and
everything that`s possible (Drinking Game?)

[For a Hero Sealed we are unfortunately missing TW Starter and TW

Any chance of getting to the place on Thursday instead of Friday? Flight prices are quite different, and I could use a free day to sightsee Hamburg again, it has been almost 25 years since my last visit!

Latest news of the MECCG World Cup in Hamburg, Germany 18. – 20.10.2024

-We reach our registration deadline and stop with 37 participants!
28 will stay in the Youth Hostel Hamburg-Horner Rennbahn the whole weekend and 9 are day guests, mainly for satuarday and Sunday.
-Official we don’t have our reserve gaming room on Friday (just Sat. And Sun.), but it looks good currently to come in on friday evening. To be sure I have to ask the hostel one week before again to be sure.
- We have coffee and tea in our gaming room for free and other Drinks to sell on trust (Water, Soft Drinks, Beer).
-On Sunday we have to clear the room until 10 am, but there exist a room for baggage in the hostel.
Also on Sunday we still have Lunch again in the hostel, between 12:30-13:30. We can play 'till 4 pm on sunday.

-I’m glad to say we can offer Sealed Tournaments
