I think that Marc Roca said something about July 18th, but there is no final decision yet, sorry. I will post your concern in the Spanish forum, tough.

That's correct. We're trying to book the site for the weekend of July 17th-19th. Unfortunately we still don't have any confirmation. Anyway if that weekend would not be possible we'd try to get the one before or the later one. I hope next week we'll have a certain date.

Hi guys,

thx for the information. I booked a flight to barca now from 10th of July to 26 of July, combining the worlds with a beach holiday ;-).

Fr 10 Jul 09:55Frankfurt 11:50Barcelona LH4452 Economy Basic (U)
So 26 Jul 18:55Barcelona 21:05Frankfurt LH4459 4h17 Economy Basic (U)

If anybody is interested to have some nice (party) beach days at the costa brava before or after the worlds, please let me know. May be we could rent an appartment and/or a car together. May be some locals are as well interested in beach party? In that case, bring some nice spanish girls with you ;-). Will be able to speak some spanish at that time!

Hasta Luego

18th July is not fixed.
This date is not available at the moment, and probably an answer would not be received til 2 weeks before.
So we have asked availability for July 10th and 24th.
Hope to have confirmation for any of them for this weekend.

Well, finally the date is definitive.

Worlds will be held in Llinars (Barcelona) from July 17th to 19th.

It will be played at same site than Worlds 2006.
We have only been allowed to get 3-people rooms for 39 people, I think that won't be enough.
If necessary we can contact to a hostel 15-20 minutes from the site where we will play. Fortunately we have a nice site to play, enough for 60 players if necessary.

We'll try to write some more complete info in next days, but I think this is enough at least to get the plane tickets.

If anyone has any question please contact me at cramroca@yahoo.com

How to arrive.

Llinars is an small town located between Barcelona and Gerona, easy to arrive by train or car:

By Train:
From Barcelona Airport
Take the train in the Airport and leave it at the Station called Sants Station (I think first or second one). Once there take the train to Sant Celoni (every half an hour) up to Llinars Station (about an hour).

From Girona Airport:
Take the bus up to Girona Train Station . Once there take the train up to Sant Celoni, where you must leave the train and take a different one to Barcelona which stops in all Stations. The second one is Llinars (Trains every 10-15 minutes).

By car:
From Barcelona take the Railway AP7 between Barcelona and Gerona. Alter 35 km. Just passed the exits to Granollers, take the next one to Cardedeu, and follow the road to Girona up to Llinars (10km).
From Girona take the Railway AP7 between Girona and Barcelona. After 50 km. Take the exit to Sant Celoni and follow the road to Barcelona up to Llinars. Once in Llinars Station:
1.From the Train Station all straight on in the same street “C/ de l’Estació” to Girona (East).
2.When you arrive to the Town Hall turn right at the Street “C/Tomás Rosell” called “Via Romana” when have walked some meters.
3.Cross the bridges on the railroad and the railway..
4.Turn Right and Wellcome.

Good news.
I've been in Llinars today.
We have 15 more places if necessary, maybe 20.
Next week we'll begin to work in organization.
The only necessary thing at the moment is a lot more of participants, or will you allow to arrive four Spanish players to the Final???

We have been there last five years.
Last year we paid less than 70 euros. That includes sleeping Friday and Saturday, breakfast Saturday and Sunday, Lunch on Saturday and Dinner Friday and Saturday.
I like that site, we have all kind of commodities, such as refrigerator, site to play 30 simultaneous games, swimming Pool, piano  ...
Views are not so nice like Bacharach, but we cannot have everything...
