U should know that the link above to tortoise is no longer good, but it is still a program available for download. The link should be fixed.

Also, every time I install and follow the instructions, my core folder ends up making another core folder within it. So "core" becomes core/core/the files
My game doesn't work with it like this. When I delete that extra core folder, and move the files back up to just the one "core" folder, then it works.

true, but that is a automatic issue on some machines, nothing I can fix, still one can tell SVN to install without the extra folder level, that way is better since it allows updating as well

In free time i made some commands to easy checkout and update from svn.

Here is instruction in steps:
  • 1) Download SVNHelp.zip from https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwaANe ... sp=sharing.
    2) Unzip it to forder where you want install GCCG.
    3) Goto subfolder SVNCommands
    4) If you didn't checkout core and metw folders run "fullCheckout.bat" - this command will create core and metw folders and checkout files from SVN repos
    5) If you have core and metw folders run "fullUpdate.bat" - this command will update core and metw folders to head revision from SVN repos
    6) Run Metw.bat from core folder

    4) If you didn't checkout core and metw folders run fullCheckout.bat - this command will create core and metw folders and checkout files from SVN repos,

    6) Run Metw.bat from core folder and play :)
checkoutCore.bat and checkoutMetw.bat files can be used to checkout single folder.
updateCore.bat and updateMetw.bat files can be used to update single folder.

AS the server address has changes once more I am calling out to all other to help again:

approach me on want you want to help with and get an SVN set up, once you got it (if not already) use the methode below (as use the username (your name on GCCG not here - and the password provided by me))

-right click on the metw folder-TortoiseSVN
-Settings
-Saved Data
-Autorization Data
-Clear

METW SVN folder has a new location once more (hopefully the final move ever Thanks Josh):

http://svn.councilofelrond.org/svn/metw

if your update is up to date you should have no problem adding this new address via --> SVN Command --> relocate --> enter new address.

If you run into problems with the "relocate" command try a new metw checkout under the new address.

1st post was also changed accordingly

@foreign language posts, please try to maintain the proper links for all languages por favor, merci ;)
I try to do it, but I just changed them to the new address so please double check

yours Nicolai

updateCore.bat and updateMetw.bat files can be used to update single folder.
These commands no longer seem to be working (perhaps because the server changed?). I was wondering if there's any chance of getting an update?

Ok, thanks. You are referring to the guide in the 4th post of this thread?

I tried yesterady to install gccg on my PC. I have been able to download tortoise and checkout the metw folder. I have got all the cards and bonus material in there.
Howeve, I cannot checkout the core folder. I have used both addresses described in this post (http://svn.code.sf.net/p/gccg/svn and the same with /core at the end) but neither worked. I get an error message partly in English, partly in French:

Unable to connect to a repositery at URL http://svn.code.sf.net/p/gccg/svn/core
Error running context : (in French) no connection was establish as it was purposely rejected by target computer

Does any have a clue of what I need to do?

Thanks,
Hervé

Hi Herve,

you did nothing wrong, seems CORE is down, or at least not reachable on the sourceforge folders,

I will check into it a let you know when it can be reached again
