There is a marvelous flavourtext on the card of Gandalf as a Fallen Wizard...
does anybody knwo the german translation (as it is in the books) of it???
(I knwo what it means but i'm searching for the offical text...)
Quote:
"Yet the way of the Ring to my heart is by pity, pity for weakness and the desire of strength to do good."
Flavourtext question...

I don't have the German version of Fallen-Gandalf, or a German version of The Lord of the Rings, but I can tell where this qoute is from - so you'll be able to look it up in your copy of the book
it's right near the end of chapter 2 - Gandlaf says it when talking to Frodo about the history of the One Ring and when Frodo proposes that Gandalf takes the Ring - it's about 4 pages before the begining of chaper 3 of the book (at least in my Polish copy)
hope that this will help you at least a little bit

Going ever under dark,
Having the clouded sky above me -
And pale nothingness beneath me,
I see a light in the distant darkness,
It beckons me in and I accept it's invitation...
