Happy New Year everyone!
Ready to take a quiz regarding both MECCG and the Silmarillion as a resource of card actions, topics and titles? Here we go:
Who of the Valar and Maiar feature in ME card titles?
(except the 5 Wizards)
Have a thought (or read the Valaquenta again), screen the card lists and PM me by 15 February with your proposals. Give a reference, i.e. card title, for each Power's name you find. If there's more than 1 correct submission I will randomly pick the winner among those with correct answers who will win a precciousss prize: A print of one the original illustrations.

Thanks everyone who participated! I got submissions from 6 people. Some of you also handed in detailed extra-information and reasoning that was interesting to read, thank you! All your answers combined, you would have succeeded. Unfortunately, I'm sorry those of you getting closest to (what I regard) the correct answers still missed 1
. Here's the solution:
- Varda: Praise to Elbereth
- Ulmo: The Reach of Ulmo
- Mandos: Eyes of Mandos
- Orome: Orome's Warders
- Arien: Glance of Arien
- Osse: Storms of Osse
- Sauron: various Sauron-related cards (Will of Sauron etc...)
Some comments on additional suggestions:
"Valar" as in Favor of the Valar and "Balrog..." as on various Balrog cards do not count as these merely refer to the race or kind of Power and not to an actual name. Several of you suggested "Durin's Bane", which, admittedly, can be seen as a name. Personally, I'd rather not call this term an actual name but admit one could start some linguistic reasoning about the specifics of a "name". So whether you came up with it or not, that's both fine.
"Lorien" is also the name of a Vala, but refers to the site of Lothlorien in the game, so I wouldn't have expected that as an answer. Same thing as "Gothmog" (the (Maia) Balrog in the Silmarillion) who is the Lieutenant of Minas Morgul in the game.
A few of you offered also Tom Bombadil, Ungoliant and the Eagles, with some lack of evidence. There's always been a bit of speculation about the nature of these which remains inconclusive, so no relevant answers, either.
