Back in 2001, The White Hand Player's Guide has been released by Pierre Jonas Castillo on http://www.guildcompanion.com.

It was divided in three parts and never in printable form.

I edited the text contents, added the card images to each card-entry as well as a table of contents. This resulted in a printable pdf-document:

http://www.uni-bonn.de/~marric/WhiteHan ... deV2_1.pdf

(Beware: its size is about 6,5 megabytes)

Any comments concering content and spelling errors are highly appreciated.

Yours,

Markus

Oh, and as an addition:

Anyone, who wishes to contribute anything to the Player's Guide (such as extended playing tips for certain cards, a more detailled overwiew etc...) should feel himself encouraged to do so. I'll gladly add everything suitable to the document and put the updated version online (of course every contributor will be mentioned in the document!).

I think that revision is needed because the guide is more then 8 years old and since then many, many more FW-decks (and also of other alignments) have been developed which make use of (in this guide) underrated cards.

The more players make some additions, the earlier we'll get a mostly complete guide/introduction to playing with cards from this expansion.

As a first idea, we could agree about one deck for each Fallen Wizards (if you'll call it so: a kind of "FW-CH-deck") which typically reflects what that particular Fallen Wizards does (for example: Weathertop-squatter for Fallen-Radagast). These sample resource decks could be added to the guide. I know that there have been many decks posted in this forum, but I don't think I should alone decide, which one is the MOST typical deck for Fallen Pallando, for example.

OK, that's again far more then I wanted to write, but...

Hey, nice job!

Is there something similar for the Against The Shadow strategy guide by Nigel Buckle?

Yep, the pure text document is ready, but I also plan to include card images...perhaps next week evenings...

Other question: does anyone know if there's a more actual version of the CRF ? Repeated search on the web brought only v15.1, which is dated 2001, to the surface...

I also brought that to a printable form along with a table of contents and cross-references where there needed...

UPDATE:

The Against the Shadow Players Guide with images is ready for download now! (Anything mentioned above concerning errors and contribution still applies...)

Have Fun with it!

Wow, this is great. By coincidence I just got my first box of White Hand cards in the mail today and then a couple hours later I find this! Serendipity. :-)

Thanks for all your work on this, I'll read it with great interest. :D

A card that only emphasizes the importance
of rangers in the game, this is a variant
of the hero Many Turns and Doublings.
It can also cancel Dragon and Drake attacks,
but it does not have the alternative
option when Gates of Morning (or Skies of
Fire for minions) is in play.
Skys of Fire won't work with Many Turns and Doublings, because it is no hazard card.

, but this
can be a crucial card in some active ringwraith
decks as it is possible to avoid an
attack against a lone Ringwraith using this
card even if the attack can not be normally
cancelled (like the automatic attack at Shelob’s
Lair).
Sojourn in Shadows won't work here thought ...

There's a good overall analysys of the different badbeards here, maybe it could be in some way integrated in this FW guide, with the consent of the author.

I guess he's reflecting on how much money he can charge you for intellectual property rights.

-->Marric, great job formatting the guides! I had originally downloaded them from the Guild Companions' Web site, but your lay-out makes reading much easier.
Thanks for your time!

Perhaps you might be interested in a modest contribution I made in a similar fashion with the old Card of the Day archives (see http://www.councilofelrond.org/forum/vi ... .php?t=870).
Every article has been copied and pasted (broken down by "Age" - from the First to the Fourth) and I created an alphabetical index for easier navigation. Also, the index is hyperlinked, so you simply need to click on a card and it'll take you to the corresponding article.

Again, thanks for your efforts in making these files available!
