Hi fellows!

I'm excited to announce that since January 2023, I have been working diligently on developing a new online platform to play MeCCG. It is currently in an advanced stage and is expected to be fully functional before the end of the year. With optimism, we might even be able to organize the first tournament from the CoE before the year concludes.

I know many of you may be wondering if another platform is necessary considering the existing options like GCCG, Cardnum, Sit Down and Play, and Tabletop Simulator. My answer is a resounding yes. The Council of Elrond has observed that, despite the various available options, organizing online tournaments becomes complicated due to individual player preferences. Each player has their preferred platform and doesn't want to play on one they don't feel comfortable with. I understand that each platform has its own pros and cons and none meets the demands of all players.

However, I have taken on this challenge and set out to create a final platform that will please everyone and allow us to share games among players worldwide without technological barriers.

If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment in this thread. I'm eager to hear your thoughts and opinions.

Let's play MeCCG together once again!

As you know, I'm very excited for this and the possibility of merging the GCCG, cardnum, and TTS players (and Mellon and OCTGN... not sure if anyone uses those and not the others though). Thanks for your efforts.

When can we test?

And I'm really excited for you to be able to try it!

The technology I'm using is Laravel + Vue.

Thank you very much for your support, I'm going to need it! :D

As Mordakai says, it will be a web application, so you'll be able to see it on any device with a browser. However, at the moment, I'm not making the touch-enabled version, so perhaps I'll develop it in a later phase. Let's see how it progresses.

Nice work!

As this is a community project, is there a repository at github? How about contributions and collaborations for those potentially interested?

Hello Tom, thank you very much for your offer! The truth is, I hadn't thought about making it collaborative yet... we can talk privately if you're interested in helping me in future.

Nevertheless, I think I didn't get the title of the forum right. When I titled it "Community Projects," I wanted to refer to those projects that members of this community create, not that the projects posted here were some kind of public open source and collaborative.

My idea was for everyone to share here what they consider a personal project to share with the community. If they also want to develop it as a team, that sounds perfect to me!

Let's talk, my friend! :P

Will be multiplayer supported?
We will not speak of such things even in the morning of the Shire.

Hi Konrad, thanks for your interest. Yes, it will be supported. Here some details:

By the way, for everyone's information, I'm in the final stage.

Hello friends!

MeCCG Online is already running on a production server, and we've already played the first online game!

Always a pleasure to lose against my friend Manuel :D

Now, the application is in a testing and correction phase. I still need to develop the Arda mode and tournament configuration.

There's a bit of a delay, but I hope you can use it before the year ends.

I'll share a screenshot with you!
