If you are doing company 1's movement hazard phase, can a character in company 2 still use a marvel's told at that time?

If someone uses a marvel's told in response to a creature being played, to terminate an event, and that makes the creature unplayable, does the creature go back to hand, or discarded?

Can one hero have more than one ally?

Does anyone really play that you can't travel back to a tapped discarded site? We always play that you can, otherwise, how could you use cards that untap the site?

1) Yes, it was ruled that you can use Marvels Told the way you desribed.
2) If the creature is not playable anymore when the creature's card resolves it will be discarded.
3) Yes, a character may have as many allies as he likes.
4) No, you cannot travel back to a site in your discard pile. If you want to untap an already tapped site you have to keep it in play. This could be done by having a company there. Untapping a site may even be done the same site phase you tap the site.

There are restrictions for playing hazards during the M/H phase. There is no similar restriction on playing resources.

I am guessing that the question relates to keying a creature based on region type. Keying to some region type in the company's site path is an active condition for playing a creature. If a card is declared but cannot can no longer meet its active conditions when it comes time to resolve that card (as in your example), then it is discarded. This is covered in Annotation 7:
Annotation 7: If any other active condition for an action does not exist when the action is resolved, the action has no effect; if the action was playing a card from your hand, it is discarded.
If the action of playing Marvels Told is declared in response to a declaration of the action of playing a creature, and Marvels Told remove an active condition for playing that creature (e.g., the region type that the creature it was keyed to changes), then the play of the creature has no effect and the creature card is discarded.

This example also relies on the rule that "If a card leaves active play, including being returned to a player's hand, it immediately ceases having an effect on play." So, the card that is discarded by Marvels Told immediately ceases to have any effect on the playability of the creature when Marvels Told resolves, which is before the creature would resolve.

Yes, everyone really plays by the rule that you can only take site cards from your location deck and your location deck can only have 1 copy of each non-Haven site. It is common to leave a character behind to hold the site in place if you really need that site later. This brings the risk that somehow the character is killed and the site is lost until you exhaust your deck and recycle your site cards. Another trick is to just untap the site before leaving, if you have the resource to do so. You can also sideboard in cards so you have the combo available at once. Another idea is to re-design your deck so that it does not tap that site in the first place. It is easy to find decks that are not viable in play testing.
