But you only get 1 MP from Smoke on the Wind.

Right, so...
I can play Men of Anorien, muster it, then play Keys of Orthanc!
Awesome, makes such a difference otherwise it's wait for a whole go thru of the deck bleh...
Too bad Favor of the Valor doesn't return site cards !!! I want that, but I know...

hmm, actually:
& btw FWs cannot play Favor of the Valar
Faction & site both tap the site so unless you untap it in between you CAN NOT play them both ...Right, so...

I found it damn,
ok but, I really need this clarification, cause I getting ready to setup my GCCG again and hop back on and look to play, with this deck I have worked on.
The clarification is:
If I am putting 2 optional copies of my Wizard in Fallen State, i.e. the
version, but I also have 3 copies of the regular version to start off my deck. Am I considered a Fallen Wizard? Do I have to build my deck counts according to Fallen Wizard rules, for sideboard and main deck combined?
So I mean, if I optionally include a Fallen Copy does that declare me a Fallen Wizard?
Thanks Vastor or whomever
oh great, I read the other forum post result:
http://www.meccg.net/dforum/viewtopic.php?t=3101
The only thing I don't get is "All of these issues have been solved by making the SB open in DC format, it may include anything your like (as long as you keep to the max number for your deck & format size) " Where are these "rules" at? Are they in the SVN repo?
Alright I found them, but MAN
Dream Cards are just a whole nother world!! tho
I mean put it this way, if I switch over and try to set to memory all the Dream Card rules, then I'll get confused if I try to play the "Basic" game at a tourney some day in the future won't I? Ugh so much work
but.. oh god
f#c% I guess I'll start doing dream cards. It's like learning to RUN before I even know how to CRAWL!
I was just going to inch my way in step by step. But Alright... Dream Cards it is, you have forced my hand, since you are always online.
But I tell you this, if I play dream card rules, I am not going to play with any dream cards for a while. Because I want to play with just the basic cards.
I play solitaire quite a bit...
30 hazards with a hand of 5, draw cards for the site or draw half depending on the level of difficulty
then
30 resources with a hand of 5, draw cards for the site or draw half depending on the level of difficulty
I love it I have 32 pre-built decks 1 starter for each Nazgul 1 Lidless Eye starter with the Mouth, then 5 Wizards, and 5 Fallen Wizards, with 10 Challenge decks, then the 2 Balrog decks...
I just go back and forth rolling percentile for which Hazard I am up against, and then percentile for which Resource deck I get to use. I have a whole check list checking the game I play off, there's a possibility of 1024 games to play, I haven't gotten thru them
So I am happy, the dream cards I have just been dreading. One reason is cause I WANT the FEEL of the cards in my hand. I hate video games. I used cockatrice for magic and that was cool for playtesting with MTG, but GCCG is going to take some getting used to, shouldn't be too bad, but honestly...
I finally just got thru memorizing about 70% of the traditional sets. And now dreamcards is just BLAM heres 500-1000 more cards UGH
For you (guys) gees, I will start, but I am not going to use them for at least 6 months till I get to go over them and memorize them and test them out.
Alright that's enough, I'll start looking at them more and start learning again. It's not too hard I guess, I played I.C.E./M.E.R.P./RM for 15 years from 1985-2000, and still have all the modules, so I know all the characters and sites and maps, and it looks awesome (the Dreamcards).
So, OK, laters...

Hey rezwitz,
please keep the DC stuff in the DC section, but I will try to answer this fan mail non the less :=)
All ICE optional rules are in full effect in DC games
yes, open SB is great include everything you want, but of course you can only access and play what can be play due to alignment and cards in play (e.g. Eagle-watch allow hero players to play Spying out the Land)
. . . if you cannot update SVN I send you a copy, is much less rules then used to be!
Trust me DC comes really natural to the right players, most things make just more sense in DC, we are just not stuck in old habits!
and yes running is much more fun than crawling anyway, keeps mind & body fit!
I you played MERP it is basically a breeze to get the feel for the later sets set in different regions!
hope that answers most questions, and sorry for posting in the wrong section

Nico: well if I recall correctly, you may of 1 copy for FW in SB for each Wizard you have in the deck, so if you run 3 x the same avatar, then your SB may only include 1 FW version of that avatar, if you run 2 different Wizards in the deck (2 & 1 copies of these) so many have 1 copy of each FWs in your SB in case of ICE conversion optional rules.ok but, I really need this clarification, cause I getting ready to setup my GCCG again and hop back on and look to play, with this deck I have worked on.

Just be sure you use a modestly up to date rules file for General & Lord rules, since we have been heavily working on these, to get them down to 16 & 5 pages, so a version from Sep 2013 is bestDream Cards are just a whole another world!! thou

Well . . . I believe the best approach is not to look over all DCs, of which there are 1999 btw, but 1/3 is regions and sites so around 1400 cards . . ., but to play pre-constructed deck on GCCG there are 34 DCCDs (dream cards challenge decks) using dream cards from all sets and showing off all avatars available (still missing some) and 8 DCFF --> First Folk promotional decks, which feature only the 1st 2 finished sets First Born 6 Durin's Folk. These decks offer strategy guides and play-tips.I was just going to inch my way in step by step. But Alright... Dream Cards it is, you have forced my hand, since you are always online.
