PROWESS OF AGE ‐ Short‐event (R)
Targets and cancels any effect (declared earlier in the same chain of effects) that would cancel an attack from a unique Dragon manifestation.
Alternatively, gives a prowess bonus to a Dragon or Drake attack (must be played before its strikes are assigned) dictated by the number of Prowess of Age cards played on the attack: +1 prowess if 1 played; +4 if 2 played; +9 if 3 played.
If I play 2 or 3 copies on the same attack, does each card effect stack? If 2 copies are played, is it a total prowess bonus of +8 (+4 for each card), or just +4? It seems they intended for 2 cards played to give a total bonus of +4, but if this is the case, how much of a bonus are EACH of the 2 cards giving?

Thanks!

"gives a prowess bonus to a Dragon or Drake attack [...] dictated by the number of Prowess of Age cards played on the attack"

This is the same bonus that increases when 2nd of 3rd copy of Prowess of Age resolves.
We will not speak of such things even in the morning of the Shire.

Thank you. So just to be clear on what you are saying:

If I play 2 copies of PoA on the same attack, and they both resolve successfully, then the total bonus given will be +4 prowess (not +8)?

Put another way, each card is worth +X, where X is the number of copies of the card played on the attack. :)
The game is flawed, but this does not mean it cannot be loved.

If the text would be "+1 prowess for 1st played; +4 for 2nd played; +9 for 3rd played."
instead "+1 prowess if 1 played; +4 if 2 played; +9 if 3 played."

then I would agree.
