a) Is a stored card (item) considered to be in play? (thinking specifially about the Palantir of Amun Sul here - can I use the Palantir of Annuminas or Elostirion with the Amon Sul-stone if those two Palantiri are stored at a Haven?
b) Foul Fumes and Long Winter will tap several sites if Doors of Night is in play. Are those sites tapped just while the long-event is in play, or are they tapped until the playdeck is exhausted?

Though the names are confusing, this belongs in the "Rules Questions" forum.
1) A stored item is only considered to be in play for purposes of uniqueness.
2) Once tapped, a site remains tapped until something untaps it.

The game is flawed, but this does not mean it cannot be loved.

I'm sorry. I've posted some more questions in the right forum.
It seems that Foul Fumes and Long Winter can be very powerful cards then, considering the amount of sites they will tap.
