true, but what would that really change? I just gave this overview to get full view of the meagre effect if you don't double.
It would not be too difficult to write: 'treat bonus to DI as bonus to prowess in stead'. I'd regard doubling as much interfering with the rule as any other interference.

yeah... like that.....
If we make the doubling we should word it like that!!!
why not make the rule like torston sugests....
like: Treat +1 DI as +1 Prowless boost.
So it is clear and unsmisunderstandable...

No, no... I'd rather have NO doubling than that!
We can't just fall into the hero-mode of wanting more prowess. More direct influence opens up more deck possibilities, pure and simple. The most obvious is the chance to play more followers--not just at havens/homesites, but with A Chance Meeting in the site phase, for instance. Another option is to build up Lego and Gimli's shots at Flatter a Foe (even just to FEEL like you're improving their chances at it, however slightly) like their use in the old Radagast Challenge Deck.
Let's try double prowess only then (with normal DI bonus), and see if I can word this clearly enough to everyone's satisfaction.
Legolas (V)
Unique. 7 Mind.
+1 prowess against Orcs. +1 direct influence against Dwarves and Dwarf factions. If in a company with Gimli, that company cannot be targeted by Unhappy Blows, your Dwarf factions are worth +1 MPs, and each of them may take defeated creatures and minions as trophies (double the prowess bonus given by the trophy). If one of them has less trophy MPs, he must face the first strike of every attack that does not choose defenders, regardless of status.
Jambo, can you post this to the tourney card corrections thread?

so no change in skills then? if you take his diplomat skill, he'll certainly not make Flatter a Foe.
I think it's a pitty, it takes out some of the competition aspect.
