Okay, this post then for our personal favorites for set 2. I'd suggest only posting cards here that are more or less free of big controversy, and post the version most agreed on. Keep the discussion on coherent theme and such at Marcos post 'moving foreward,' and discussion on the proposed cards themselves at the relevant V suggestion post (or start one anew).

I'll start with only a few, not to 'cut the grass in front of other peoples feet,' as we say in Holland.

Persuasive Words V: Long event
Diplomat only. Tap the diplomat during the organisation phase to prevent the discard of an ally (except Nenselde the Wingild) if he moves to an adjacent region of the ones normally allowed.
Alternatively, tap the diplomat to allow Nenselde the Wingild to move to any site in a coastal region.

Ringlore V: Permanent-event
MP: (1)
Sage only during the site phase at an untapped site where infomation is playable. Tap the sage and the site. If a Gold Ring in the same company as a sage with Ringlore is tested you may either add or subtract one to the roll (after the roll). A modified roll cannot be used to reveal the The One Ring. If a ring is played following such a test, this card gives 1 MP. Cannot be duplicated on a character.

Waiting Shadow V: Permanent-event
Playable on a non-Wizard, non-Ringwraith character facing a non-detainment strike from an Awakened Plant and whose company is moving to a Border-hold [Bh], Ruins & Lairs [Rl], or Shadow-hold [Sh]. The strike receives +2 prowess. If the strike fails, discard this card. Otherwise place creature's card with Waiting Shadow - creature is considered off to the side. The target character may not move to another site and target character's company faces an attack by target creature at the end of each organization phase. Creature is not considered keyed to anything. Discard associated creature's card if Choking Shadows is discarded. Discard Choking Shadows if all creature's strikes fails. Cannot be duplicated on a given character.

Darkness under Tree: permanent-event
Any awakened plant creature may be played on a company keyed to site or region (attackers choice), if the hazard player has a company at a site in the same or adjacent (non coastal sea) region that contains an ally playable at Wellinghall (or Blackbole). Such attacks are detainment against hero companies without a fallen wizard. Awakened Plant creature attacks at Shadow-holds [Sh] attack normally against minion companies. Discard when any play deck is exhausted. Cannot be duplicated

okay last one seemed more controversial, but changed it to detainment against heros without badbeard, that seemed to be the biggest issue people had.

My own suggestion 'free of big controversy':

Map to Mithril V: Permanent-event

Playable on Balin at Moria if his company has dwarven characters only. Rotate this card 90º each organization phase. This card gives marshalling points as follow: not rotated: 1; rotated once: 2; rotated twice: 3; rotated three or more times: 4. Discard this card when Balin moves to a site other than Moria or The Under-gates. Cannot be duplicated.

@edit: it could be changed to Into Dark Tunnels, because there is another suggestion to virtualize Map to Mithril.

Let them come! There is one dwarf yet in Moria that still draws breath!
