INFORMATION
The strike canceling ability of The One Ring (Hero Version) doesn't specify a target, so it can cancel any strike against any character in any company regardless of where it is. This isn't very thematic, however, it's unlikely that The One Ring would be played for that particular effect.

BALLOT ITEM # 19:
Are you in favor of issuing the following erratum?

THE ONE RING (HERO VERSION)
Change this:
The One Ring (Hero Version) wrote:Unique. The One Ring. Playable only with a Gold Ring and after a test indicates The One Ring. +5 prowess (to a maximum of double the bearer's starting prowess). +5 to body (to a maximum of 10). +5 to direct influence. Bearer may make a corruption check modified by -2 to cancel a strike; this does not work against Undead and Nazgûl strikes. +1 corruption point to every character in the bearer's company.

CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR VOTE:
If you vote YES, then the strike canceling ability of The One Ring can only be used by the bearer to cancel a strike against himself.

If you vote NO, then the bearer of The One Ring can cancel any strike against any character in any company regardless of where it is.
