this COE session is coming to an end soon, so we should start electing the next chair.
nominations first. so who would like to run? or who would like to nominate someone else?

Hi all,

1st of big, big thanks to Wolfgang who did a tremendous job (not only as chairman) over the years

so the new chairman should be active, experianced and even-tempered/ balanced

well among the 1st 2 I could be but even-tempered , I doubt it

so I see

Jose-san
Eric
or
marcos as good choices as a chairman

yours Nicolai

Thanks Nicolai, but I'm in no way active enough for that task. Eric or Marcos seem excelent choices to me, though.

well, i myself am a little bit more critical of my perfoirmance.
lots of things and processes started, but not that many finished ...

marcos is an excellent choice, still i´d like to nominate eric as well. we need some competition ;-)

i propose to finish the nomination process till sunday, then we are going to have a voting.

Sure, I won't shy from that responsability.

I don't think you should leave CoE just yet Wolfgang, if this will be indeed a time of change, your presence in CoE greatly fortifies our position and credibility, as you are kind of the face and personification of active meccg right now.

and don't beat yourself up about unfinished bussiness, at least it's on the tracks and moving foreward, and that is a lot!

i didnt say nor mean to leave the COE ;-)
i will be a candidate again, but its not up to me to decide if i will be in.

i just dont feel to be a good chairman at the momnet. had some personal troubles last year along with health issues. though the situation already improved, i know it will need to focus on those matters first.

btw: its much easier to be a common member and poke the chairman a little bit. marcos or you will see ;-)

thought you meant by this you wouldn't be a candidate for CoE.

Well, I always enjoy some good poking. Ahum, did I just say that? :D
but again, you've been the best chairman to date (as far as I can tell).
