Couple of other faction battling cards:

[V] Power Against the Enemy
Hero short-event
Playable during your end-of-turn phase if you have one or more inverted hero factions in the same region as your opponent's Fallen-wizard or minion factions and have not already initiated a battle. You may initiate a battle and receive a +6 to the roll.
Alternatively, you may play this card during your organization phase to move hero factions located in a region 1 extra region this turn.

[V] Old Prejudice
Minion short-event
Playable during your end-of-turn phase if you have one or more inverted factions in the same region as your opponent's hero or Fallen-wizard factions and have not already initiated a battle. You may initiate a battle and receive a +6 to the roll.
Alternatively, you may play this card during your organization phase to move factions located in a region 1 extra region this turn.

Essentially these will allow factions on the brink of elimination, i.e. inverted, to fight back even without the presence of their own version of Grond or Alliance of Free Peoples. The high plus to the roll is there to compensate for the halved MP value of being inverted and also to give a chance to a player who's clearly losing the faction war. Otherwise, use to the card to catch running factions or help inverted factions escape for one turn.
