Re: Looking to buy

I wouldn't recommend buying unopened packs to build your collection -- they're increasingly rare (and expensive) as people collect sealed product (and also speculate on it). Your brother's best bet for LE, AtS, etc. is perhaps to seek out large lots or even whole sets for sale. Big upfront investmen...

Re: Solitaire Scenarios

Back up to Alternate Game Formats and click on "Solitaire Games" -- quite a few good options there.

Re: SORCERY: CONTESTED REALM new TCG check this out!!!

With the recent surge in the LCG model, where I know exactly what I'm going to get with each purchase, the draw of a CCG where I know I'm going to get stuck with 10 billion of common card X and still not have a single copy of R1 Y... is just not that appealing anymore. It's still fun to go after set...

Re: WTB 3x Fatty Bolger (English promo)

Yes, I'm quite happy to have two (and a German one) -- they've always been a bit tough to find, but definitely gotten more rare in the past couple of years. Also, is Fatty included in any of the Challenge Decks?

Can you do a under-deeps map like the diagram in the balrog booklet ??
The under-deeps sites and linkages are included in all of the above map versions.

Re: Dissipate Darkness/Audacity -- A General Cooperative Variant

This looks fantastic, thank you for putting in all the work! I plan to at least give the solo variant a few tries over the next few months -- sadly geography and young children currently constrain my ability to join group games. In any case, I'll report back on how that goes.

Re: Has anyone thought of a "solitaire" variant to play in two? As in, MECCG a cooperative game?

If you look at the many scenarios posted here, you can see the ways that people have thought up to simulate a hazard player for solo-play. I think that in general it wouldn't be that hard to adapt this simulation for a cooperative game. Essentially this is what LotR LCG does with its Encounter Deck ...

Re: Desperately seeking Japanese Limited Galadriel

I heard about someone who was collecting Farmer Maggots at one point, which might partly explain why that particular R1 seems harder to acquire than the others.

Re: $100,000 Balrog Display Box

Agreed that this price is totally bonkers. But I'm curious how many of these actually are still in existence? Does anyone here have one, or know of one for certain? I have no intention of ever trying to own one myself, but I think the idea of rare sealed product is fascinating.

$100,000 Balrog Display Box

Anybody else see this? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-Middle-Earth-CCG-MECCG-Limited-Edition-The-Balrog-Factory-Sealed-Display/284233706232 Here's the seller's pitch: This is an out of print extremely rare product from 1998 MECCG. The display box has 6 individually sealed deck boxes. 3 red The Shadow...

Re: DC Wording - Where should I post/send feedback?

I think that the text as written is ambiguous in the case where the opponent has 2 or more unique hazards that create an attack in hand. Say the player has Gothmog and Rogrog in hand -- it seems, from the "any" language that he would only need to reveal Gothmog or Rogrog to satisfy the req...

These look great! Show Things Unbidden in particular looks really sharp. It's amazing all the detail you can pick up from a close look at the art that I, at least, have never really noticed.
