Then why not convert all drakes into dragons?

Paths of the Dead

Current text reads: Playable only at the end of the organization phase. For its movement, a company that starts at the Dunharrow site and contains Aragorn II may move to the Vale of Erech site. The only hazard creatures that may be played on this company are Undead, but any Undead may be played on t...

Cave-drake

The creature type of Cave-drake is "dragon". My proposal is this term be replaced by the keyword "drake". Reasoning: The only other dragons in ME are the unique ones bearing names. I cannot see any reason why cave-drake should make an exception. The objection that ICE had plenty ...

Welcome to the Forum!
You might consider being listed on the Global players list (contact the Jabberwock for this purpose). The longer it gets, the easier to find other fellows nearby.

Re: Promo cards and misprints

Here's the French Snaga hai card (together with the Dutch version of Lure of Nature, another example where illustrations got mixed up)

Re: Promo cards and misprints

Like in my own copy, there's no crown. My understanding is they're not promos as such. Rather, I.C.E. somehow forgot to print them in the normal MELE run for Spanish and German, so had to do a separate printing and distribute them separately. Hence, they're like promos. Exactly. The German Orkstadt...

Re: Will of Sauron Artwork

In MECCG there are quite a few representations of Sauron with a 'physical' presence - not least the Sauron card from the Balrog set. But also cards like Hendolen, for example, where I am guessing the robed guy on the steps is meant to be Sauron - note the lidless eye motif on the curtains. I always...

AFAIK Angelo Montanini doesn't sell his original paintings. (The Eowyn painting in the Greisinger Museum in Switzerland looks like it was commissioned later).

Re: Do you have 'one card obsession' ... And why?

Ever since I read the Lord of the Rings I was fascinated by the Balrog. The beautiful painting by Rob Alexander comes close to how I always imagined this demon from the first age. I especially love those colours. The original painting by Rob Alexander is currently up for sale on Ebay! https://www.e...

Re: Merchandising / Stuff about MECCG - List with photos

I've uploaded a flyer from ICE announcing the release of METW in 1995 (4 pages):
The card design wasn't finalized at that time and there is an interesting preview of the Saruman card.

Re: Do you have 'one card obsession' ... And why?

I'm a fan of the Nazgul illustrations by Liz Danforth, especially the Khamul card. I remember that when I opened the first boosters of ME more than 20 years ago I found the illustrations of the Nazgul very cool and exciting. Usually, I don't appreciate any extensions made up by third parties to orig...
