Re: Nature's Revenge on Wizardhaven when many of them is in play

The White Towers is protected -- The White Towers on which Fortress was played. Other The White Towers are not protected. Compare with No Strangers At This Time, which specifies it affects *all* versions, or People Diminished, which specifies *any* version. I believe that the Fortress cards are the ...

Re: FW Rings-For-Points Discussion

As a side note, it's possible ICE felt that rings-for-points play was a little underrepresented overall, as one of the rule changes they were playtesting was allowing sages to tap to test rings.

Re: Nature's Revenge on Wizardhaven when many of them is in play

A permanent-event played on a site affects only the copy of the site it is played on, unless otherwise specified. A permanent-event not played on a site affects all versions of affected sites.

Re: Nature's Revenge on Wizardhaven when many of them is in play

It is only canceled so long as the problematic company is at a Wizardhaven version of White Towers, and only the portion which prevents other WIzardhavens is canceled. That seems the most consistent way to read "an effect that causes such a violation is cancelled." Once the effect no longe...

Re: Nature's Revenge on Wizardhaven when many of them is in play

No. The effect is merely cancelled. Nature's Revenge remains in play until it would otherwise be discarded. As well, only the changing of site type effect is cancelled. The addition of the automatic attack is not cancelled, as that does not cause a company composition violation.

Re: Nature's Revenge on Wizardhaven when many of them is in play

That's fine; the note in MELE (p. 57) says:
Similarly, an effect that causes such a violation is cancelled
As soon as the lack of Wizardhaven status would cause such a violation, the effect is cancelled.

Some Insight Into The Existence Of Broken Cards/Mechanics

I do not think that Messenger of Mordor causes storing of resources at any site. As I do not think that Hour of Need causes playing of faction at any site. I do not see any indications for that in texts of the cards.
Ouch. That's also a possible interpretation.

FW Storing Restrictions

You do not receive marshalling points for cards stored at non-Wizardhaven sites. I'm assuming this refers to cards like Book of Mazarbul or Earth of Galadriel's Orchard, which (unless you're Gandalf) must be stored at non- [-me_ha-] sites. I assume it also applies to something like Rescue Prisoners...

Re: FW Rings-For-Points Discussion

Now, regarding Blind/Ire: Riddle Game presents an interesting opportunity, if you send a sage to hang out with their Haven-squatters. Obviously a bit more effective and safer vs Wizard/FW than vs Minion, but FWs have an easier time countering minion recycling of Rolled.

Re: FW Rings-For-Points Discussion

I'd also add that preventing recycling vs Hero/FW also prevents your own recycling vs. Rolled, so it's a double-edged sword.

Re: Characters in sideboard of Fallen Wizard

Ooh, nice find!

Edit: I think the premise of avatars being treated differently than other characters for purposes of deck construction still holds. This would be another case of ICE blurring terms and definitions when writing rules, unfortunately.

Part of my problem has been playing against marcos. Believe me, two mind rings just are *not* enough. :)

FW Rings-For-Points Discussion

I'm posting this here rather than derail a rules discussion: As I see it, the two stumbling blocks to FW Rings-For-Points are as follows: 1) Rolled. The standard defense against Rolled is to have a lot of spare rings, which is totally feasible in a Dunk deck. My experience has been that it's less fe...
