MECCG Newsletter Ideas Okay, I had a lot of brainstorms on this topic, and am now convinced this newsletter thingie can be the absolute coolest thing going for MECCG since Longbottom Leaf... In tune with Charle's post: The Newsletter would be a beautifully designed, full-color (since electronic), pa...

Again, I recommend not shooting ourselves in the foot. How embarrassing will it be to not get 100 votes, or to not get 60 percent, and then to send out ANOTHER call for votes that "tries again"? Why don?t we just leave the language loose, and in the constitution write ?there must be a majo...

What do we need a motion for? It's just something that's going into our new constitution. Let's write the constitution, then approve it, reject it, or approve with changes. We're certainly not going to make a motion for every idea suggested for the newsletter, for instance.

Second.

By the way, the phrase "on an even keel" comes from nautical language, where "keel" is a part of the boat that must be kept balanced and even.

I have some ideas about this. There should be a separate thread on Meccg.net called "Council of Elrond Newsletter". This will be OUR space for publishing information about the game, happenings, Worlds tourneys, some spicy tidbits about new decks to get players keen on what's happening in t...

I don't understand why these things need to be only on the Dutch site. Do they really think we'd be stepping on their turf? We are the COE, the people who are (supposed to be) running the game right now. If it's not a question of rights, but a question of politics, then I would suggest a middle-grou...

I think this is a pretty cool idea. Eventually, of course, we should feel free to use "official" for things that we become absolutely comfortable with--like maybe the Balrog rule after a few years and the support of a few star-systems, er, I mean national councils. (Slipped into Star Wars-...

In theory, a GCCG Champion would be great. They should be determined by official GCCG tourneys, of course. Also, I'm more concerned with "format" of online play rather than cheating. For instance, to what extent should an opponent be asked to allow a player to "put back" cards th...

Could someone provide a little background info on the constitution thing? This is an important issue and we should take time to discuss the pros and cons here. Question: Who chartered the original COE constitution to begin with, and on whose authority? Question: Are we absolutely positive that there...

Second.

This will also give the COE a bit of "clout", I think, as the national councils see that we even care enough to post their events.

Is the council of Lorien site active at all? It would be nice to have local american tourneys posted there.
