@Took: Of course you can't play >6 mind characters if you are a FW with WHCTK or Trolls with Dunedain outside of a haven because these plays violate a rule of the game. However the rules state that you can play RW followers with any RW. Those other than the Witch-King or Khamul need a special card ...

My conerns on those scores are balance -- Dol Guldur already connects to both Carn Dum and Minas Morgul. Connecting it to a third haven would be like connecting Lorien to Edhellond (same concern as you, but different approach.) And I used a Sage because Carn Dum, Minas Morgul, and Dol Guldur are all...

And they are also saying that Eagle-Mounts does not work in the manner decribed in this thread: Eagle Mounts is not played on a moving company, it is played on a company that starts at Eagle's Eyrie. Its effect, when it resolves, allows a company to move to any non shadow/dark hold. And since there ...

but I think I get the point - if We Have Come to Kill would allow to play Ringwraith followers then I guess it would allow any Ringwraith to do so; but I still strongly oppose the idea of We Have Come to Kill being able to bring in Ringwraith followers into play No more than We Have Come to Kill al...

So FW players can use We Have Come to Kill to bring in characters with 9 mind, since the short event overrides all normal playability restrictions on characters? Cool.

you're probably right, but for the sake of consistency and disalowing ringwraith followers to be played with We Have Come to Kill i chose to lose this battale and agree that Poisonous Despair can be used by a Ringwriath follower to cancel an influence attepmt against any of your factions :P I'm not...

I don't think so -- I think this would be a parallel case of carelessness on ICE's part with regards to the distinction between your RW and a RW Follower. Only an avatar can be considered to have those factions be "his."

I would find it a bit difficult to remember precisely which company has visited Goblin-Gate in some of my decks, so I would get rid of that playability feature as a needless complication -- the Great Goblin isn't going to follow a company all the way to Minas Tirith. I can't believe I never even tho...

The 1 at 15 strike is meant to simulate normal Wizardly Interference. Since Saruman the Wise can already attack a company at or moving to Geann-a-Lisch, it hardly seems fair to make the attack for this card any tougher than that, though the attack is buffable by Alatar for a 2 at 16 -- deadlier than...

I'm not arguing either side here, but if you can bring in RW followers with WHCTK then it certainly wouldn't be limited to The Witch-King and Khamul. All RWs can have followers using one DI per follower. The Witch-King and Khamul merely get some for free. Though there needs to be an ability that ma...

Unless the card in question specifically states "Playable on an automatic attack."

Magic. Spirit-magic. Playable on a spirit-magic-using character in response to an influence attempt against a character, ally, or item in his company. The attempt is canceled. If the character is a Ringwraith, he can also cancel an influence attempt against any of his factions. May be played during...

Dwar Unleashed currently says that Dwar may move a number of regions.

Should it not say Dwar's Company may move a number of regions?

I would say its maybe better to reduce it to automatic attacks, cause I fear there will be too much exceptions to the rule. Then it does nothing, really, that Fear Fire Foes doesn't do. I'd like it to be creature attacks -- to see those Riders of Rohan cut off Gimli's head no matter how high it sta...
