Yes - this makes sense.Konrad Klar wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 11:19 am Cards that are merely revealed are not in play. Otherwise revealing duplicate during influence attempt would lead to situation where two unique cards are in play.

Re: Fallen Wizard use of characters
A predating contradictory ruling. >The rules indicate that one cannot 'use' characters with a mind higher >than 5. Since they can 'use' a character with 6 mind but only bring it >into play in conjunction with Thrall of the Voice, I'm inclined to take >the term 'use' to mean 'bring into play'. That ...

Re: Keeping yourself and your opponent "Honest"
For me, playing dishonest is all about entertainment. Like, do you always want to see the same old favourites (river, cave drakes, assassins) or do you want to see a deck that surprises you? So being legally dishonest is a good thing for both the fun of the player and the opponent. One thing to do i...

Re: Creature Heavy Hazard Decks?
I share your interest in creature heavy decks. Two ideas from me are: 1. GoM + Fog + two or three tribes + an army of double wilderness big hitters (Giants, Thunders companion,, Giant spiders, Cave Drakes, etc). Advantage here is GoM and Fog are resources, leaving plenty of room for creatures. This ...

Re: Promptings of Wisdom - why is it so popular?
If people think that a chance meeting can be used to play a character in the site phase, etc. then tapping out a company is not enough and the meta-game under that idea indicates that return-to-origin is the best effect. Doesn't make sense under the game design but if that is the meta then includin...

Re: Survey: Stopping Baduila (and other agents)
I am now thinking just avoid Baduila's home sites, include Goldberry in the deck (very common ally anyway for obvious reasons - only 1MP but unkillable and just very useful ally generally), put a 'Promptings of Wisdom' in the sideboard (and play with Sam or Radagast) is the way I would go. Only incl...

Re: Promptings of Wisdom - why is it so popular?
I don't think Promptings has any secret abilities -- it only works on hazard effects. But it's a great sideboard card, right? Say your opponent has a full Snowstorm and Long-winter deck, with 3 Twilights in the resource section and 30 hazards dedicated to setting that up and keeping it going. They ...

Promptings of Wisdom - why is it so popular?
OK, I know Promptings of Wisdom works on a ranger - giving him two CPs but then allowing him to tap to cancel any hazard effect that that sends his company back to the previous location, or that taps the site. I can see it is useful against 'Beorning Skin Changers' potentially if the company doesn't...

Re: The most expensive ME card in the world
Yes, I think I wrote the original post here. Prices are a lot more expensive now. A copy of Japanese Black Arrow sold I know for somewhere >>>£500 recently. You will never get Farmer Maggot in your deck for less than 100eu now either I think. For me, Dutch Fatty is an interesting card. My anecdotal ...

Re: Maxims of MECCG for new players
Please share your Maxims of MECCG for new players: Resolve the strike against your weapon bearer first. If they die the next character can use the weapon. Play your allies with your wizard to prevent them from being influenced away. Place a card on-guard for each of your opponent's company to draw ...
