Re: Lure 2021 - Feb cancelled, maybe Oct

Hi All, October would fit my familiy needs much better as my second daughter is born beginning of March and I hava difficulties to match her Birthday party and the Lure... I am really looking forward to be at the Lure again when ever it takes place (as long as I can persuade my wife to take all thre...

Re: Lure XX : The Hamburger Scenario Tournament

Hi Dominique,

thanks for sharing the results here.
I am really looking forward to the new scenario system and I really really hope to make it to the Lure next time. Having now three kids with one's birthday around Lure makes it quite difficult but I ty to manage it.

All the best

Re: Fifteen Birds in Five Firtrees

But then why not have it as clarification to make a clear how to interpret the rule for th...

Re: Icy Touch (errata + clarification)

I think it's a bit tricky that we have to different effects on the card:
+1 prowess AND corruption

Only the last effect has the restrictions for corruption cards / effects.

Re: Standard Modifications (overhaul)

Hi Guys, it seems that this discussion is more or less stucked: The same arguments are taken into the discussion and it gets much to personal. So maybe we should break up here present two (or three options) to be voted on: It's clear (I hope) that Standard Modification for minion factions are based ...

Re: Using MELE with METW - Deck Construction

It would be nice to focus people's energy on contentious issues. From my perspective, we are currently discussing several issues for the ARV which are more or less hypothetical and have (nearly) nothing to do with real world issue in real games. Also, it is quite clear, that the rules of this game ...

Re: Isles of the Dead That Live

Thematically, based on Tolkien, it‘s a holy place and no evil character should ever put a foot on it.

Re: Improvement ideas

It is not an easy task. That was my first thinking... It’s really a charming idea but I’m not sure if the hard work will lead to a better tournament format in the end. The are some scenarios which are very unlikely to find a thematically fitting variant with 3 difficulty levels. Good luck a...

Re: Improvement ideas

Long time ago we had initiated the format to integrate new players on the one side and give experienced players new challenges on the other side. DC brings in additional complexity which also Hero vs. Minion does, so I would rather vote against those changes as general rules. But I could imagine to ...

Re: Duration of Short Events

I'm more in favor of clarifying these problem cards individually. I support this view: many Short Events are precise in their duration (either due to ist effect or its text), so we should fix (erratum) or clarify those cards (like those mentioned here in the thread) on an individual basis. Although...

Re: Gift of Comprehension

Hi Guys,

as no one was discussing this further, and there are a lot of submissions this year, I withdraw all of them.
May be I will make a house rule of that, but under current circumstances we have a lot of ARV with higher impact to the game.
Cheers.

Argh, totally, correct! I have corrected my statement above.
As far as I remember, he was allowed to stay at the Undying Lands only because he did not sail to Valor for his own sake but to save all Men and Elves.

Re: New scenario proposal : Earendil the Mariner

I like that very much, thematically.
Still I believe it's really hard to achieve, even if you place all items under the warrior at your last turn.

I would state that the warrior should be either Man or Elf, as Earendil was a Half-Elf.
