I believe there's 2 solutions,
the first and most unlikely, everybody log in and fix the issues manually checking his on sale cards one by one
and the second and most drastic, reset the whole cards on sale system, removing all cards on sale and start from zero. i'm sure that's doable(not by me) but i suspect there's to be more than one user with the knowledge to do it, but i think this will need some kind of aproval from the programmers? the council? i dont know.

it's really annoying for the people playing and for the new commers whom are not into playing that much and like to collect etc

I agree that the best solution is totally deleting all cards for sale. It would be easy to mark our cards for sale again. And it would be helpful to reset prices anyway.

Every new user we get comes on and buys card, and the server crashes while in the middle of a game.

The other option is to just buy cards only when you are the only one online, in case of a crash.

For me, the buying and selling and trading is 50% of the fun. With this broken system, it means there is not as much fun.....

Buying from just online players, doesnt guarantee nothing, because people dont check their on sale cards one by one, i bet some people doesnt even know they are selling phantom cards

As i said many times the options are drastic:

1) All people on database MUST do a /refresh of his cards. [-me_ccc-]
or
2*) The sales file must be purged. /save/Metw/prices MUST be fixed(a lot of work on unknow/old ppl or destroyed) [-me_dh-]
or
3*) Just delete /save/Metw/prices and let ppl do a /refresh when they return to game. (easy mode) [-me_ha-] / [-me_dha-]

(*) This action is needed to be fixed by the person who owns the server and have access to that file.

I just did "option 3" from the above post. I did save a backup of the prices file before deleting it, so if you have any issues please post in this thread so I can follow up on it.

sadly option 3 did not work ...
trying to buy a Durin's Axe from Nightlord for example still crashes the server!

as I see it this can only work if all users who have cards on sale also do a refresh, so one can still only buy from active players!

but even if the active players /refresh, it wont be enough. thousand of cards are owned by non-active players

Can't someone who has server privileges fully delete all cards for sale, and we can start over, and relist cards to sell?

If we know what file to delete to do that, then yes I can delete the file(s). The problem is it seems no one knows which files still have bad data, and I don't have time right now to read through the code and figure it out. But if someone knows what steps need to be run, I can gladly do it on the server side.

Interestingly enough, the prices file basically just regenerated itself - so it's getting it's data from somewhere. It loaded data from users that have been deleted (like wild1 for instance).

Now I can see 1 card for sale by Vastor, and still shows me all my own cards for sale. But I cannot see other people's cards for sale....

Seems to be doing the same sort of thing for other people

After I manually delete what I had or sale and relist stuff for sale, it seems to be working!
