A question for wizened  veterans - how were the official rulings and errata issued? I am aware of certain re-printed cards (e.g., Unlimited, LE, and Challenge Decks), the player guides, the ICE/Ichabod website, and the mailing lists. And conveniently, the CRF is still documented at MECCG.net. But I can't really figure out how it the CRF was issued. Although it seems it was issued in batches and given numbers?

There is the listing of rulings and errata in the official Player Guides from ICE. Like in the Lidless Eye Player Guide that was published in December 1998. But this doesn't reference a particular CRF #, as far as I can see.

The main MECCG page on ICE's site links to Ichabod's homepage but seems to end around May 1998. Weren't rulings still being issued past then? And was this even the official distribution for rulings? The wayback machine ends at "Rulings #11" whereas some posts to the mailing list discuss "Rulings #15" from Ichabod.

Interesting...

I'm assuming this was never published (just like the Against the Shadow and The White Hand Player's Guides were never published).

But maybe someone has details on this?

Doesn't seem like ST# 3345 ever made it to print based on the I.C.E. Collector's Checklist

ST# 3346 is listed as The White Hand Player's Guide as well

Seems 3342 and 3343 were the last printed materials for MECCG.

Thanks for sharing this. I noticed that spell law (#400) is listed.
What sort of meccg-related material does it contain?

Yeah. And if you read the old newsletters (see link below) there are several other products that get mentioned that never saw release. http://www.meccg.net/netherlands/meccg/downloads.html

I did more digging on the CRF, and it seems like "Ichabod" was hired by ICE to issue the rulings and create the CRF. I think he also worked on some of the products themselves (he has an interview in one of the newsletters). The CRF is just something that he did periodically at his own pace - after he made enough rulings that were "new" or "important," he would just incorporate them into the CRF, which was official for tournament play. CRF #15 seems to be the last official CRF, although there were some rulings that were made after that (Digest 579 and after).

The CRF that I know of is at MECCG.net - http://www.meccg.net/netherlands/meccg/. But this listing actually includes some rulings made after CRF 15, which seem to be marked with @ and % symbols. So maybe CRF 15 is just this list without those lines.

Besides MECCG.net, I found a google archive of the rec.games.trading-cards.misc mailing list. There is a post there where Van Norton links to Ichabod's website, which was presumably hosting CRF #15. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searc ... HqWIQoxb0J

But that website is long long gone. I have searched all sorts of ways and I cannot find an archive of any website hosting CRF 15 (besides the Dutch Council's complete listing). I can only find an older archive of CRF #11 and #12 using https://archive.org/web/ (see https://web.archive.org/web/19990423222 ... index.html).

Though, I was able to find CRF #14 as posted by "Gnome" in the mailing list: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searc ... CqgCZawfkJ.

MECCG.net also links to the Yahoo archive but I wasn't able to find anymore information there https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/met ... v9Ub3TvnDo.

As far as I know, there is no online record of CRF #15.

I would assume it is a typo in the checklist. Spell Law was an universal module for RPG's and is I.C.E. Code 1200
