Re: Middle-earth: The Northern Waste
You mean, using Kanatrass instead of the Sindarin Canadras ? Since his lair was indeed a former Lossidilrin palace, that could be appropriate, though again it would not match with the ICE map. Using it for the hazard (and roused faction) would fit less well, but it's an option. Whether it's differen...

[New:] Challenge Deck files Hero
We've redone some challenge decks, for better use in DC introductory games. They now only include cards from released sets, and are simplified. They levels of DC Apprentice, DC Graduate, and DC Loremaster will be used as frame for classifying all DC games, with the Apprentice level using only a few ...

Re: Middle-earth: The Northern Waste
We're not against making changes to the ICE cards per se. We've changed the artwork and the special of the site. But if you change the site's name, you also invalidate that map insert, basically. Any suggestions for an elegant name change, starting with Canadras? Canadras' Lair is not smooth, and we...

Re: Spring of Arda + Twilight
Hmm, I didn't answer because I wasn't sure. And I still am not sure  That's to say, I agree with both your statements, and we do not want Twilight to add a token to Spring of Arda. However, Twilight is not a resource, but it can be played as one. And Spring of Arda currently states: "when ...

Re: Middle-earth: The Northern Waste
I take it you are aware that this set is based on the ICE MERP module The Northern Waste? The Canadras site is on the full colour map inserted in that module, created especially for MECCG, so we're taking the site directly from there! And in the book it is clearly stated that the Dragon is named aft...

Re: DC Events at Lure XXI
for the purpose of hazard play, that is indeed correct
Wizards are also Maiar after all, but you don't want Alatar boosting an attack by Sauron (which is what Dominique refers to).

Re: Jaakylat
Right, when the new site is revealed it is checked whether your movement there is legal. Once that is established, you are ok. Another question is if the site's site path would be changed. Technically no, because it's the one given on the site card. But one could argue that if the site is in another...

Re: World Championship Mode - possible changes: no deck changing for Finals
I've played a few Worlds in the last five years (upon request) and even qualified for finals (but declined to play), hence I feel I can add a few cents to the discussion, though not too many (i.e. 2 cents). Pawel is fully correct! Yes working on decks between qualifiers/finals is no fun and ex...

Re: Are the Mirkwood Powers really "Contested"?
I know you have the MENE Player Guide so I'll just quote from there, but it's also in the DC General Rules. DC General Rules Addendum I writes: Flipping a card is turning it over to its backside or other side, unrotated and uninverted. MENE Player Guide writes (card entry for Contested Powers, p.53)...

DC Events at Lure XXI
Good friends and DC afficionados, As per usual we'll be playing on Lure Friday the DCGO (starts at 16.00), which includes cards from the First Folk and Necromancer sets. On Sunday morning we've been hosting the DC Challenge Deck event, but interest has been on the decline last couple of years. Perha...

Re: Middle-earth: The Northern Waste
Work on The Northern Legacy is well underway. The totals for ME: the Northern Waste and ME: Morgoth's Legacy are 312 cards (16 quests), for a play set of 544 cards. Goal is to have a 550 card play set, and hopefully finish the work in about 6 months. Some time before that we will issue the declarati...

Re: RW movement rules & Balrog
The clarification/ruling in the CRF is not text on a card nor is it text in the rules. This clarification does not apply to The Balrog. Of course, hence the wink/smiley. And yes rulings can affect the game as much as errata. But essential is the explanation as to why the ruling was made, regardless...

Re: RW movement rules & Balrog
ok so your argument is, since p.25 is in the starter rules section, it only applies to starter movement by default, even if "in order to move from a Darkhaven to a non-Darkhaven site, a Ringwraith must have a special resource card," does not mention starter movement at all. It makes some s...
