Open To The Summons In The Pool
Open To The Summons states that it is "Playable on a company." and that "This card may be played with a starting company in lieu of a minor item." Does this mean that, during the draft, one must have already revealed a character so that a company exists on which Open to the Summo...

Re: FWs and MELE (Here We Go Again . . .)
Just making sure. I've been away for a few years; I'm not sure where the community is on various issues. It'd be nice to be able to realistically do a FW Rings-for-Points deck in a 2-deck setting though. The practical inability to reliably play ring tests sort of voids it, and storing to test might ...

FWs and MELE (Here We Go Again . . .)
A few years back, I noted that FWs do not inherit MELE rules so long as those rules are bulleted. Subsequent discussion and voting revealed that: 1) Players didn't overwhelmingly like the idea (see Orc/Troll erratum); and 2) ICE was very confused on the subject themselves (see thread here https://co...

Re: Characters in sideboard of Fallen Wizard
So far as I can tell, the text of Weigh All Things has the phrase "including a Ringwraith," not "including your Ringwraith."

Re: Characters in sideboard of Fallen Wizard
FWs are permitted by the WH insert to use minion characters. "Using MELE With METW" otherwise forbids using minion characters. But RWs do not count as minion characters for the purpose of deck construction. The rules clearly state that Minion Characters have a rusted purple background. Und...

Re: Characters in sideboard of Fallen Wizard
FW can use Orcs and Trolls because, in the FW rules, they have rules allowing orcs and trolls in their decks.
They do not have a similar stated rule for RWs, so they use Wizard rules.
Ride Against the Enemy should work, though.

Re: Characters in sideboard of Fallen Wizard
When you play a Fallen-wizard, assume that your Fallen-wizard is a METW "Wizard". All of the normal METW rules apply except for the specific exceptions outlined in these rules. The ME:LE rules that concern Wizards also apply to Fallen-wizards. WIZARDS - When the rules and cards refer to a...

Re: Monstrosity of Diverse Shape - memory of cards
You don't, unless all three copies are in the discard pile, but if your opponent is *that* determined to cheat, the rules won't matter anyway.

Re: Monstrosity of Diverse Shape - memory of cards
Why wouldn't it? Regiment specifically cancels an attack, so if it was used on Fell Turtle, Fell Turtle attacked the company that turn.

Re: Monstrosity of Diverse Shape - memory of cards
In cases where the creature that attacked isn't in the discard pile in the first place, one cannot initiate Monstrosity's action. In cases where the creature that attacked *is* in the discard pile and it is impossible to tell which copy is the one, that is the time to simply choose one copy to be th...

Re: Monstrosity of Diverse Shape - memory of cards
Since The Hunt only requires to a card to have been revealed, there is no problem. Cards in the discard pile remember how they were revealed. Maybe... they remember how they were revealed, when discarded... everything except how they were played. That is exactly how I understand it. The rule was in...

Re: Monstrosity of Diverse Shape - memory of cards
You seem to have misunderstood my reply. Since The Hunt only requires to a card to have been revealed, there is no problem. Cards in the discard pile remember how they were revealed. Since Monstrosity requires you to play the card, there is no worry about non-card creature attacks when selecting a c...

Re: Monstrosity of Diverse Shape - memory of cards
The Hunt does not seem relevant. Cards in the discard pile do not remember how they were played. They can remember whether they were revealed all they want. As far as hazard creature vs hazard creature card, Monstrosity requires the hazard player to play the hazard creature. I am uncertain there is ...

Re: Monstrosity of Diverse Shape - memory of cards
That's rather far afield of the original question, but I would not expect a card in the discard pile that has no memory of how it was played to suddenly regain that memory upon being transferred to the sideboard. Monstrosity enables certain cards to remember how they were played. Twilight was only m...

Re: Monstrosity of Diverse Shape - memory of cards
You may not use Smoke Rings to recycle Twilight even if it was a resource when played.
