Re: Forewarned is Forearmed and removed automatic-attacks
Thanks everyone (and particularly SuperNovice) for input. I will explain how in my opinion Forewarned is Forearmed works. Only action that the card causes which is activated by passive condition is "Discard"; passive condition is "when such an isolated attack is defeated". Beside...

Re: Forewarned is Forearmed and removed automatic-attacks
The Lidless Eye: Tidings of Bold Spies Rarity: Common, Precise: CB, CS2 Hazard: Short-event Playable on a company moving to a site with an automatic-attack. This card creates one or more attacks on the company, the total of which duplicates exactly (including modifications) all automatic-attacks at...

Re: Forewarned is Forearmed and removed automatic-attacks
Seems like that before AA at site with multiple AAs is faced the Forewarned is Forearmed does not have an effect on this site.
So someone may play in M/H phase Arouse Minions on any AA at such site and Tidings of Bold Spies copies all AAs.
Right?
What is "a passive effect"?

Forewarned is Forearmed and removed automatic-attacks
Dark Minions: Forewarned is Forearmed Rarity: Common, Precise: C2 Resource: Permanent-event Any non-Dragon Lair site with more than one automatic-attack is reduced to having one automatic-attack of the hazard player's choice (this attack cannot be canceled). Any creature or other hazard with more t...

Re: Orc-warband - played VS faced
OK. My concern is not type of Orcs attack (AA, from creature, from event etc.) faced before attack created on basis of Orc-warband. My concern is the detail that Orc-warband, even if it is considered played, is not played on company . I doubt that AA is ever considered played on company (maybe I am ...

Orc-warband - played VS faced
The Lidless Eye: Orc-warband Rarity: Common, Precise: CB, CS1 Hazard: Creature Orcs. Five strikes. If played on a company that has already faced an Orc attack this turn, Orc-warband receives +3 prowess. "Fierce and shrill rose the yells of the Orcs, and suddenly the horn calls ceased."-Lo...

Re: FallenWizard items in Hero/Minion decks
No.
But if Wizard to Fallen-wizard Conversion option is in use then Wizard player may include them in sideboard.

Re: News of Doom
If both players have included this card in their decks, and the first player has just played it (and removed it from play afterwards), can the second player still play their version? Question contains wrong assumption - "(and removed it from play afterwards)" - the card is removed from ga...

Re: Foes Shall Fall
Would there be any characters facing a strike before their assignment? Right. No. There may be character considered facing a strike before the strike is being resolved. If the strike is not defeated, place creature's card with Foes Shall Fall-creature is considered off to the side. Before th...

Re: Foes Shall Fall
Marvels Told cannot be played on declared card ("in response"); may be played on card in play. During strike sequence the hazards affecting a strike are played before resources affecting a strike. Text of Foes Shall Fall does not say that the card needs be played before strikes are assigne...

Re: Untapping of not tapped cards
I want to add: what is allowed at Council is subset of what is allowed in play at all. If e.g. during playing Free to Choose may not be played on minion item then it is not allowed at Council too. Both discarding of item in play for some effect and playing a short-event card has inevitably such resu...

ICE RULES DIGEST 107 10-07-1998 Author: Craig Ichabod O'Brien Source From: Martin Toggweiler <mtogg...@compuserve.com> [Concerning the Free Council] I was surprised to read in Steven Brown’s report on Origins that Cram can be discarded to untap a character that is not tapped. Presumably the same ho...

Re: Untapping of not tapped cards
OK. There are two variants of Lost in... cards. And which should be used is separate question. Beorning Skin-changers as short-event and Slip Treacherously are under consideration at now. Beorning Skin-changers as short-event may/may not be played on hero company with Beorn or an untapped warrior wi...

Re: Untapping of not tapped cards
If I would play Beorning Skin-changers as short-event against company with Beorn or an untapped warrior with prowess greater than 4 would be it for no effect? Is there a guarantee that Beorn or an untapped warrior with prowess greater than 4 will be in the company at resolution? Is there a guarantee...
